Old Bones Pickups is based in the UK in the heart of Suffolk and is run by Sean Wilson (me!); In a previous life I was a registered nurse, working in major trauma and ITU nursing, and served as a combat medic in the TA (Army Reserves). My career was unfortunately cut short by a spinal injury. Deciding I needed a new direction, I trained as a guitar tech with Dr Robbie Gladwell, spending several years assisting with repairs, rebuilds, and setups on stringed instruments.

While there I learned what makes a good pickup. I had the opportunity to test many vintage & modern pickups, and learned how to wind and repair them. I began repairing pickups for Robbie, and started building my own. 

I work with individual customers, luthiers, and guitar builders, supplying both the industry and individuals with the tones they crave!
